Fungalist
Brand identity





I have designed the brand identity for Fungalist, who uses his in-depth knowledge to present the world of fungi to it’s audience in a simplified, accessible manner. Since mushrooms are exciting creatures, I tried to spice my work up with a bit of funkiness.
The visual identity is based on the contrast between grainy, organic background gradients that represent the wild nature of fungi and simple black frames that represent the simplification of the matter as presented by Fungalist to every (future) mycophile.
The logo is inspired by the reproduction system of fungi by flying spores but also hides an integrated brand essence in Morse code.
The boxes are designed with practicality in mind. Under the cover of each box the user finds a graph, showing the perfect temperature range for growth of each mushroom species. With that particular detail, the boxes make the mushroom growing experience even easier.
Digital presence follows the same guidelines and bends the visual identity rules so that they enhance the medium the branding materials are used in.
